At Vivid Creative Studio, we recently wrapped up a branding project for M.O.T. Creations, a custom laser engraving business owned by an old friend from school, Tyler.

The Challenge: Thinking Outside the Box

When Tyler approached us, he had a clear vision for his brand’s identity—one that echoed the philosophy of his work. The central inspiration for the project came from the 9-dot puzzle, a brain teaser where you have to connect 9 dots using only 4 straight lines without lifting your pen. The puzzle is often used as a metaphor for creative problem-solving and "thinking outside the box," which aligns perfectly with Tyler’s business and approach to his craft. He wanted this idea to be represented in his logo and overall brand identity.
